BAKIDO LOGO

BAKIDO

A name that embodies the teachings and philosophy of its founder, Mouaze Konaté.

Inspired by BUSHIDO: “Bushi” (warrior). “Do” (the way).

By combining one of Mouaze's first names, "Baki," with "Do," BAKIDO was born.

A school where we share our common passion for salsa and cha-cha with friends from the past, present, and future. Solo dancing, partner dancing, shows, and parties! We improve and have a blast together.

BAKIDO plays a major role in training current dancers and teachers, as well as those of future generations.

John
Bakido is more than just a school—it’s an institution, a second family. The students are really friendly, and I’ve formed some great bonds with a few of them. Mouaze is an excellent teacher: his lessons are packed with technique, but he also teaches us the right attitude and mindset to adopt when we dance. More specific guidance: working on memorizing dance sequences and developing reflexes for social dancing. Bakido also gave me the opportunity to participate in workshops, which served as my first experience performing on stage. I recommend it 1000%!

Because Bakido definitely does us good. We can’t get enough of it! The classes are rich, varied, top-notch, and yet accessible. They make us love exploring and keep us coming back. It’s about passing on technique and passion, but it’s also about a deep sense of humanity that brings us together in our diversity and makes us want to grow—together... A school that helps us grow and dance! A huge thank you to Mouaze Konaté!
Alexandre
Because there are some really great teachers: Mouaze Konaté, Timothé Fournier, and Chloé Dawance! They pay close attention to the technical skills they teach us—which the students then put into practice—and their classes are well-rounded (Shine, partner work, musicality, etc.) and dynamic! And personally, I would have loved to be able to take their classes more regularly!
Simona
I had the honor of meeting Maestro Mouaze Konaté in Florence—an exceptional teacher, both skilled and professional, but above all, a truly special person!
